fyi -- See 2 links.

The first is a 1957 Red Smith article about
Bart Sweeney, one of Sunny Jim's right hand men.

The second is a link to the website of
Triple Crown Plumbing, run by his grandsons, Bart and Matt Sweeney.

For those who live in the NYC area, I can tell you I used them on my mother-in-law's house in Queens and they did a great job.

You'll see that their website focuses a lot on their connection to the Fitz Family.

Hello, Fitzsimmons Family!

After looking through hundreds of photographs and documents that have been gathering dust for years, I decided to post them on this site for all to enjoy.

What you'll see here is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg - - - I'm sure that all of you have tons of Fitzsimmons memories that you'd like to share.

If you have any photos, letters, documents, news/magazine clippings etc. (old or new) please forward them to me and I'll include them on this web-site.  (If you send originals, I promise I'll send them back to you, but it would be much easier if you can send me your files electronically.)

I'll try to post them in chronological order, so if you can, please include dates and any other info that you think should accompany your photos.

Much of what you'll see here was found in a trunk in my grandmother's house (Aunt Edyth).  So if it seems to you like there's a lot of "Carr" stuff posted here, it's because this is all I have.  That's why I need everyone to send me whatever you have to add to this Fitzsimmons history time-line.

This will be an ongoing project, and I hope that with all of your input, we will eventually have a living history of the Fitzsimmons family.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, complaints, or input of any kind,
please
send me an e-mail.

Love to all,

Jimmy C.

Special thanks to Bill Fitz for his many contributions
to the Fitzsimmons/Harvey family history!

If any of you family members know of a little anecdote to
go with a photo on this site,
the rest of us would certainly love to read it.

If you can provide details, comments, dates, locations
or any fun facts about the people or places in these photos,
please send me an e-mail and I'll post your story.

For instance, Bill Fitzsimmons sent in a story to go with the
WW I photo of Uncle George Fitzsimmons on the 1918 page.
